Therapy can be a time and space to join together to explore what behaviors have gotten you here today, what might be keeping you stuck, and plan for how you can start to live a life that feels more like yours. We can explore a range of topics including, but not limited to, relationship satisfaction, self-worth, life transitions, symptoms of anxiety and depression, numbing behaviors, and trauma. I approach each client as an individual, pulling from multiple frameworks and encouraging clients lead the direction of our session. We can talk or use expressive arts. You can learn mindfulness skills or share music that influences your mood. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be whoever you are in the moment. Where you don’t have to change anything about yourself. Where you can be seen, heard, and held.

Individual Therapy
$150
50 minutes devoted entirely to you. To use how you want and need that day. I can direct or listen. We can talk or do guided meditations. Maybe you have some music you’d really like to share - maybe you’d like to have a mini dance party to that music (and maybe you wouldn’t - that’s totally cool, too!). You are a multidimensional human being - therapy can (and should) address all of who you are.

A Lot Like Living offers in person counseling in Cincinnati, OH or virtual sessions for those in Ohio at the time of session Monday-Thursday. Our first session of the day begins at 10a and the last begins at 4p
Do you accept my insurance?
Short answer:
No, A Lot Like Living does not accept any insurance plans.
Long answer:
At A Lot Like Living we see you as an individual, completely unique from any other person on the planet. As such, we do not accept insurance plans. Insurance really likes boxes and check marks and sameness. We believe in science and evidenced based practices, AND we believe that sometimes you might need something different. Insurance companies require a diagnosis for our work together. We believe that you should be able to access quality therapy whether or not your life experience and symptoms qualify for a mental health diagnosis.
We can provide monthly superbills (receipts) for your insurance company to reimburse you for your sessions. If you are interested in this option, please contact your insurance company before we begin to make sure they will reimburse services for out of network providers.
A Lot Like Living accepts HSA/FSA, credit card, and cash payments.
